Dogwifhat (WIF) which is the latest memecoin of Solana (SOL) recorded massive gains as its price finally managed to hit a new all-time high of $0.45 on January 18, 2024.
WIF launched in November 2023 before seeing its first big change in December which marked a 227,000% climb while its trading volume recorded nearly $65 million.
It should be noted that today's SOL price rally which reached back to $101 after staying down from recent highs of almost $124 on Christmas Day may be the reason why WIF also surged higher.
The move on SOL comes a day after Solana Labs revealed its plans to release a second smartphone called “Chapter 2” in 2025 that may implement more modest hardware and power.
However, BONK which soared to new highs in December last year and helped generate sales for the Saga smartphone did not benefit from the WIF rally as its price fell 4% over the past day at $0.00001353.
This is because the entire crypto market fell about 1% in the last day with BTC and ETH down 2% at $42,600 and $2,535 respectively.
As of this writing, WIF price has surged by 23.66% at $0.42 in the last 24 hours with a market capitalization of $423 million and a 138.16% increase over the last week.
