The Ethereum Name Service (ENS) cryptocurrency, which has always hovered below $10, managed to pull off a surprise as its price climbed more than 80% to $16, marking an eight-month high.
This is because Vitalik Buterin who is the co-founder of Ethereum (ETH) has given recognition and praise including highlighting the importance and value of his service while considering it very important.
In addition to emphasizing the need for the service to remain accessible and affordable to all users of the ETH network, Buterin also said that all layer-2 will work on the CCIP resolver to allow registration, updating and others.
He added that integrating ENS addresses with layer-2 networks such as Optimisme (OP), Arbitrum (ARB) and Polygon (MATIC) can not only increase user friendliness but is also very important for ETH's long-term scalability plan.
The integration is expected to streamline the follow-up operation of the ENS domain, possibly replacing the complex alphanumeric wallet address that is usually used in any transaction.
In context, ENS is a domain platform on the ETH blockchain that allows users to obtain domain names and facilitates users to obtain user-friendly names such as "bob.eth" linked to identifiers such as addresses, content hashes and metadata.

As of this writing, ENS price has surged by 14.51% to $14.84 in the last 24 hours with a market capitalization of $450 million then recorded a 48.97% increase over the last week.
