The entire cryptocurrency market has recently been rocked by news of Founders Fund, a venture capital firm founded by Peter Thiel that made a $200 million investment in Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) before their price surge.

Through observation, the price of BTC managed to climb almost 124% in the last 12 months to break through $50,000 while ETH which is currently trading at $2,639 jumped about 75%.

Please note that Founders Fund has started buying large amounts of BTC when the price was below $30,000, then his firm acquired more BTC and ETFs in the following months.

Thiel, who has long been a supporter of BTC, has attributed the rise in price to criticism of central banks and fiat currencies and it should be noted that during the 2021 bull run, he felt less desire to invest in BTC.

This is because Founders Funds started aggressively buying BTC in 2014 but then sold it before the crypto market crashed in 2022 to generate $1.8 billion in returns.

It is well known that Founders Funds made previous investments in BTC worth $15 to $20 million during the bull market in 2017 to 2018.
