"Fulamak is the best, many people are also interested in buying a Solana phone."

Solana (SOL) took almost a year to sell 20,000 units of its first cryptocurrency phone, but the second phone managed to reach 100,000 preorders in just over a month and now the $45 million warchest* wants to ship units to customers in early 2025.

According to SOL co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko, the 100,000 chapter 2 customers who paid $450 have made the economics of selling an affordable second device more viable than the first phone that originally sold for $1,000.

The achievement solidifies Solana Mobile's future as merchants who began to realize that every phone comes with free tokens have seen sales of their phones run out even though its fate has been in doubt since last year.

Just like the first, the second phone will have custom features designed to integrate the buying, selling, holding and use of cryptocurrencies specifically found in the SOL blockchain into the main functions of the device.

It's hard to beat Apple and Google in terms of cameras and tech specs they boast, but SOL that cares about crypto-specific features will try to build something that can't be found on other devices, comments Yakovenko.

However, it is still unclear whether preorder buyers are actually interested in owning a crypto-enabled smartphone or just want to get a second free SOL money machine.

However, Solana Mobile is getting closer to achieving its goal of attracting the attention of application developers to build games plus their app store does not charge 20% to 30%.

As of this writing, SOL price has surged by 8.64% at $113 in the last 24 hours with a market capitalization of $49 billion further recording a 19.40% climb over the last week.
