In order to create a voucher program powered by Web3 technology, Alipay which is an online payment platform entered into an agreement with the smart contract blockchain platform Avalanche (AVAX).
On March 20, 2024, AVAX announced an Alipay order solution called Alipay+ D-store and its partner e-wallets applied AVAX for the program.
It has been launched in South East Asian milk tea shops that allow users to earn vouchers in their e-wallets by playing games and it should be noted that the vouchers allow them to get up to 50% discount at over 500 milk tea shops.
Please note that the voucher is powered by the Avalanche Subnet built and managed by their blockchain service called AvaCload, where it aims to allow brands like Alipay to experience solutions powered by Web3 technology.
Even so, AVAX said the program still allows Alipay to partner with other brands using blockchain-powered features and digital collections.
AVAX who emphasized that the program is still in the first phase of the proof-of-concept (POC) stage said that it will be rolled out to more than 2,000 stores and then introduce vouchers to 100 million users.
On the other hand, AVAX, which built its ecosystem in 2024, not only cooperated with the Sports Illustrated ticket branch called Sl Tickets, but the popular online multiplayer game (MMORPG) MapleStory will grow into an AVAX subnet.
As of this writing, AVAX price is up 6.55% at $54.88 in the last 24 hours with a market capitalization of over $20 billion but is still down 1.20% in the last seven days.
