The Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim expressed Malaysia's willingness to be together in Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 in exploring new areas of cooperation with the country, especially in the field of renewable energy and hydrogen.
In addition, he also welcomed the presence of investors from Saudi Arabia to Malaysia to explore potential investment in high-value projects.
His speech was when he met the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman at Istana Yamamah, Riyadh before leaving for his homeland after attending the Special Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) since last Saturday.
Anwar also informed that Malaysia is ready to chair ASEAN next year including organizing the ASEAN-Gulf (GCC)-China Summit.
In the discussion, they also touched on trade and investment relations for both countries.
Encouragement for investors from Saudi Arabia to Malaysia to explore potential investment in high-value projects such as green digital economy, artificial intelligence (AI), clean energy, defense, electricity and electronics and aerospace.
He also invited the Crown Prince to visit Malaysia in the near future.
He believes this visit can further strengthen the close relationship between Malaysia and Saudi Arabia and open up various potential investments that will contribute to the prosperity of Malaysians.
