Expressing his dissatisfaction, billionaire Elon Musk will ban Apple from his company if the giant tech brand incorporates OpenAI technology into the iPhone operating system.
But it should be known that the threat can affect employees including operations at SpaceX, Tesla and the social media platform X following devices that have been used for a long time.
Following concerns over privacy and security after Apple released the update, Musk suggested some strict precautions including requiring anyone coming to work to leave their Apple products in a Faradey cage upon entry.
Earlier, Apple announced that it will improve Siri through the integration of OpenAI ChatGPT which will increase the ability of artificial intelligence (AI) to answer questions including allowing Siri to forward requests such as documents and photos.
Apple also intends to introduce a "Writing Tools" feature that allows users to compose new text and edit existing text through AI including implementing Open AI image generation capabilities to help users create visual document content and improve device interaction.
Over the years, the relationship between Musk and OpenAI has become increasingly critical as he has not only accused it of deviating from its original mission but of prioritizing profit over innovation and security.
Although his meeting with Apple CEO Tim Cook in 2022 temporarily eased tensions, Musk's contentious interactions with Apple date back to a dispute over the firm's pay policy.
