Giants Nvidia Corp and Advanced Micro Devices Inc (AMD) have just unveiled a new generation of chips that are powering a global boom in the development of artificial intelligence (AI) and intensifying competition in futuristic forms and applications.

The chief executive officer of Nvidia, Jensen Huang in a statement that the dominance of his company which is worth RM13.14 trillion managed to monopolize the digital market after the production of OpenAI and Microsoft Corp which relies on AI generative services such as ChatGPT.

Last Sunday, during a keynote presentation at the Computex technology event, Huang dominated almost the entire two-hour presentation by emphasizing the dominance of future accelerator and chip technologies.

Meanwhile, AMD made a group presentation by inviting the CEO of HP inc. Enrique Lores and Luca Rossi from Lenovo Group Ltd. Their AI technology is more focused towards teamwork with other giant digital companies, chips that are neutral and give advantages to key partners.

However, both remain focused on strengthening the position of AI technology as well as strategic collaboration with various important companies in the digital industry.

Nvidia sees the rise of generative AI as a new form of industrial revolution and expects them to play a major role as the technology begins to move into laptops and computers.

In the event, the delegates saw Nvidia's potential to dominate and its position in global modern technology will be difficult to challenge by AMD or any other competitor in the short term.

Shares of Nvidia rose 4.9% in New York on Monday and made it up 132% this year. In contrast, AMD shares fell 2%.

Nvidia is a company that sells fully proprietary systems to customers such as chips, networking equipment and everything needed to develop AI. Meanwhile, AMD emphasizes open standards that make its software interoperable with other technologies.
