The Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said he still does not give up on the issue of cartels and monopolies in Malaysia. He put that is the main problem that needs to be solved.

Ahead of Budget 2025, Anwar admitted that the rising cost of living in Malaysia is still putting pressure on the lives of Malaysians and promised to improve it.

He also said during the Budget 2025 dialogue session at the Ministry of Finance, the prices of basic necessities remained relatively low just like fuel. However, it cannot be denied that the people are struggling with the rising cost of living.

The government led by him needs to find a way to eliminate cartels and monopolies so that the return of profits can be channeled to the people in terms of direct grants, special government aid schemes and further improving the education and health sectors as well.

Anwar said the third budget of his upcoming administration was set to increase the level of public welfare in addition to increasing the amount of foreign and domestic trade.

He commented again, the government will also continue to improve and implement from last year while strengthening the local business economy.

His administration needs to touch on the restructuring of the economy and departments so that they are more efficient in carrying out their duties with full integrity.
