"It's strange, what does he get if he leaks that document?"

Recently, news broke regarding hackers who leaked internal documents stolen from Leidos Holdings Inc, one of the largest IT service providers to the United States (US) government.

Virginia-based Leidos, which is aware of the issue and is in the process of investigating it, believes the document was obtained during a previous breach of the Diligent Corp. system it uses.

It should also be noted that Leidos, which already considers the US Department of Defense Pentagon as its main client, has used the Diligent system to host information collected in internal investigations.

According to the firm further, the issue stems from a previous incident affecting a third-party vendor for which all required notifications were made as recently as 2023.

However, the unexpected incident did not affect its network or any sensitive customer data, Leidos commented.

A Diligent spokesperson said the issue appears to be related to an incident from 2022 that affected its subsidiary Steele Compliance Solutions, where it took corrective action to contain the incident.
