The Falcon anti-virus that is used is a protection software for user devices against the threat of hackers.
The company was founded in 2011 by George Kurtz, Dmitri Alperovitch, and Gregg Marston based in Sunnyvale, California, USA.
CrowdStrike has made it clear that there is a flaw in the software intended for Windows software content updates.
They also stated that the incident was not the result of hacking activity as Mac and Linux hosts were not affected.

Following the incident CrowdStrike shares have fallen by 12%. As of now CrowdStrike shares are at $304.96.
In early July CrowdStrike shares hit a record high of $398.29 before declining.
