The Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, recently welcomed Rustam Minnikhanov, the head of the Republic of Tatarstan, on his two-day official visit to Malaysia.

In his statement, Anwar also reiterated Malaysia's commitment to join the BRICS alliance, which includes Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
