After 13 years without a salary review for civil servants, the focus of the 1.6 million 'backbone' of the government will scrutinize the statement of the Public Service Prime Minister's Mandate Council (MAPPA) which took place on Friday.
The Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will announce the details of the civil servant salary adjustment during the ceremony.
However, there were several announcements on the matter before it gave an impression to civil servants.
The spokesperson of the Unity Government, Fahmi Fadzil previously informed that civil servants are expected to enjoy a salary increase through the Public Service Compensation System (SSPA) of up to 42.7 percent.
Perhaps it will probably be the sweetest 'downfall' throughout the organization of MAPPA.
At the Labor Day celebration last May, the prime minister announced a 13% increase in the remuneration of civil servants which was the highest in Malaysian history.
Meanwhile, civil servants from various ministries and agencies began to gather as early as 7am at the Putrajaya International Convention Center (PICC) where MAPPA took place. Everyone is hoping for good news.
