Malaysia is moving to reclaim its title as the 'Asian Tiger', driven by five strategic advantages that have the potential to attract foreign investment, according to Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming.

Political stability under the Madani government is important, along with the implementation of several action plans such as the New Industrial Master Plan 2030 and the New Energy Transition Roadmap.

These plans have led to better-than-expected economic growth and better ratings from international financial institutions, making Malaysia a prime destination for foreign investors.

Nga also emphasized the importance of Malaysia's cultural diversity, which has many languages, and its international schools, which facilitate the relocation of investors and their families.

Speaking at the 17th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention, Nga emphasized the need to protect local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) from foreign investment.

He urged foreign companies investing in Malaysia to allocate 50% employment quota for local people and allow local businesses to hold 50% equity.

This approach, he said, would safeguard local interests while enabling mutual benefits through foreign investment.
