Princeton Digital Group (PDG), a data center operator firm based in Singapore, has taken strategic steps to expand its operations across Asia.

The company recently acquired land in India, Malaysia and Indonesia, aiming to increase its data center capacity by nearly 50%.

This expansion, which is part of a US$5 billion investment plan, focuses on high-demand areas such as Johor, Malaysia, Jakarta, Mumbai and Chennai.

The growing demand for cloud services (Cloud) and artificial intelligence (AI) has made PDG committed to meeting these growing needs, especially in Asia, where AI demand has surged following the same trend in North America.

The company plans to increase its capacity by 500 megawatts, adding more than 300 employees by 2025 in markets such as Japan, Malaysia and India.

CEO Rangu Salgame emphasized the company's focus on AI scalability and readiness, ensuring they can meet the growing needs of AI developers and global technology firms growing in the region.

PDG also plans to raise up to US$1 billion through private fundraising to support its expansion goals.
