The Malaysian government approved a budget of RM500,000 to widen roads in the city of Kluang, particularly at the intersection of Jalan Ayer Hitam, Jalan Mengkibol, Jalan Station, and Jalan Mersing.
The project aims to reduce the severe traffic congestion that occurs in the city, especially during peak hours.
According to the Deputy Minister of Public Works, Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan, the road expansion is expected to be completed within two months.
This project is one of several initiatives approved by the federal government to improve infrastructure in the area, including other projects such as the drainage system in Jalan Padang Tembak to prevent flooding and the construction of a new two-lane bridge in Kampung Sri Tengah, which received RM9 million in form of financing.
Ahmad Maslan stressed that this effort is not limited to the election period, showing the government's commitment to continue improving the quality of life of the people of Kluang.
