The United States has no plans to withdraw its medium-range missile systems in the Philippines despite pressure from China's military, and this sentiment will escalate regional conflicts.

The Typhon system which can be equipped with missiles capable of attacking targets in China has been brought in for training since the beginning of this year.

The position of Southeast Asian countries is an important area of the United States' strategy in Asia and it becomes a much-needed hot spot for the military if China attacks Taipei.

However, the United States' efforts in the Indo-Pacific have drawn criticism from China and Russia, who have accused them of deliberately stoking geopolitical conflicts.

China's Foreign Ministry, Lin Jian, said in a statement that he was very concerned about the US plan to maintain the weapons system in the Southeast Asian country.

The effort threatens the security of regional countries and increases geopolitical confrontation.

According to reports from Philippine officials, its military and the United States continue to train with missile systems on the island of Luzon facing the South China Sea and near the Taiwan Strait.

Philippine military spokesman Colonel Louie Dema-ala said the exercise was ongoing and it was up to Philippine authorities or the US Pacific Army to decide how long the missile system would remain.

However, Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr chose not to comment further on the issue.
