The Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) has been key in driving this growth.

Of these, six projects where four in Johor, and one each in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur have been completed and are running.

The remaining six are in various stages of planning or construction. This includes projects in Negeri Sembilan, Selangor, and Johor.

This expansion not only strengthens Malaysia's role as a digital hub in Southeast Asia but also marks growth in the country's infrastructure for data and technology.

The investment is expected to boost the economy significantly, providing new opportunities in technology and related sectors.

Overall, this surge in data center projects highlights Malaysia's growing presence in the global digital economy, positioning it as a major player in cloud computing and data hosting.
