Finally, the results of the 2024 United States (US) Presidential election have been answered.
The candidate of the Republican party, Donald Trump, who is also the former 45th US President, has defeated his challenger from the Democratic party, Kamala Harris.
Based on the count, Trump got over 68 million votes beating Harris for 63 million votes.
This once again crowns him as the 47th President of the US after holding the position in 2017 before losing the next election to Joe Biden.
Trump managed to win votes in all the decisive states namely Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Nevada, Michigan and Arizona.
This can be said to be the worst defeat for the Democratic party when it lost in all 7 decisive states.
In addition, the Republicans have also managed to control the US Senate with victories recorded in West Virginia and Ohio, confirming the dominance of at least 1 seat in Congress next year by the Trump-led party.
Republicans also won the race to control the House of Representatives.
Donald Trump has delivered a speech in front of his supporters at the West Palm Beach Convocation Center, celebrating his victory earlier in the election.
In addition to praising Elon Musk who became one of his 'strong people' in this election, Trump promised to help the poor and assured that there would be no war during his term of office.
