Malaysia will submit a resolution to the United Nations General Assembly (UN) to expel Israel if the country continues to violate international law regarding Palestine.
The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim informed in parliament that the draft resolution is currently under consultation, expected to be presented for approval soon.
This action follows Israeli military attacks that have claimed more than 43,000 Palestinian lives since October 2023.
This resolution demanded the opinion of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Israel's obligation to allow the operations of UN agencies such as UNRWA in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Anwar emphasized that this resolution is important to ensure the continuity of humanitarian aid to the more than six million Palestinian refugees in Gaza, the West Bank, and neighboring countries.
Malaysia has allocated more than RM100 million for humanitarian aid and brought critical patients from Gaza for treatment in Malaysian military hospitals. The government also praised the support of Egypt, Qatar, and the UAE in ensuring aid reaches Gaza.
He is also scheduled to meet the Egyptian President, Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, to thank him for supporting the delivery of aid through Rafah, even though the route is now blocked by Israel.
Anwar insisted that Malaysia will continue to fight for justice for the Palestinian people and will not budge from this principle.
