According to Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli, Perak has great potential to become a major contributor to Malaysia's economy, with major projects that will transform the state in the coming years.
Projects such as Lumut Marine Industrial City (LuMIC), Perak Halal Industrial Park (Perak HIP), Silver Valley Technology Park (SVTP), Kerian Integrated Green Industrial Park (KIGIP), and Automotive High Technology Valley (AHTV) are expected to open thousands of job opportunities and stimulate economic growth.
Rafizi said that with strategic planning involving all parts of the state, from north to south, Perak will have a strong industrial ecosystem.
In the next two to three years, the state is expected to play a greater role in the national economy.
Currently the seventh largest contributor to Malaysia's GDP, Perak has the potential to surpass other states and become a major economic power.
