PETRONAS, through the PETRONAS Foundation, has channeled a total of RM750,000 in donations in preparation for floods in three East Coast states, namely Kelantan, Terengganu, and Pahang.
This assistance involves 2,500 families with each family receiving RM300 worth of necessities such as food, blankets, and toiletries.
According to the General Manager of PETRONAS East Coast, Mohammad Ahmad Shazly Ramli, this assistance also includes fuel for rescue agencies in helping flood victims.
He said, this effort is part of PETRONAS' commitment to help communities affected by floods every year.
This donation is expected to reduce concerns about the supply of basic necessities to victims who have lost their homes.
This program is a collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare (JKM) and local authorities in preparation for the monsoon season which is predicted to bring continuous heavy rain.
