Gamuda Bhd’s subsidiary, Gamuda DC Infrastructure Sdn Bhd, has acquired 157.42 hectares of freehold land in Port Dickson.
The acquisition involves a RM424.4 million agreement, which was signed between Gamuda DC and West Synergy Sdn Bhd.
The move demonstrates Gamuda’s commitment to its plans to develop state-of-the-art ‘Cloud’ facilities and data centres.
According to the company, the acquisition will use the company’s own funds and is expected to be completed by July 2025.
West Synergy, a subsidiary of MUI Properties Bhd, owns a 60% stake in the company.
The sale is expected to provide significant financial benefits to MUI Properties, including an expected net profit of RM206.13 million.
In addition, their net assets are forecast to increase by RM123.68 million.
MUI Properties plans to reinvest the proceeds by acquiring land in locations that can strengthen its portfolio and ensure sustainable growth.
