Who would have thought that the popular food container brand would also go through a difficult moment and had to raise the white flag in Australia.

Tupperware has announced that it will stop production and sales in this country, as part of the measures after officially declaring bankruptcy.

This move is expected to affect about 10,000 sales consultants and 300 warehouse workers who may lose their jobs.

However, the brand known for its food storage products will now focus on core markets such as the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, China, India, Korea, and Malaysia, leaving Australia.

Tupperware, which is now owned by US-based Party Products, has been struggling financially due to a difficult economic environment and declining sales.

The company withdrew from New Zealand in 2022, and now its presence in Australia will also end.

While operations in Australia have been forced to cease, Tupperware will continue to operate in other global markets, where customers can still purchase products through sales consultants, online portals or stores, and retail partners.
