Government Approves RM40 Million Grant for TAR UMT for Third Consecutive Time, Thank You PMX!

The government's support for higher education continues to strengthen as Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) receives a grant worth RM40 million for 2025, making this year the third consecutive year to receive this special grant.


Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong, in his latest post on Facebook yesterday, expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, for his continued support for TAR UMT.


According to Wee, this grant is an important investment for affordable quality education, which benefits students from all walks of life in Malaysia.


He added that this RM40 million grant is a clear sign of support for the future of the country.


The application process for this grant began in May 2024, with an official letter sent to the Prime Minister, followed by a meeting with Finance Minister II, Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan in September.


The Ministry of Finance confirmed the approval of the allocation in December 2024.


As a token of appreciation, Wee also sent an official letter to Anwar, describing this allocation as a strategic step in the development of a competitive national higher education.
