Negotiations neared the final details of a Gaza ceasefire on Wednesday after a lengthy process in Qatar, with US and Egyptian officials pledging to remain in touch on the deal until it is completed.
More than eight hours of talks in Doha have sparked optimism.
Officials from Qatari, Egyptian and US mediators as well as Israel and Hamas said a deal for a ceasefire in the besieged war zone and the release of hostages was nearing agreement.
Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed Al-Ansari earlier told a news conference that the two sides had presented the text and discussions on the final details were underway.
However, senior Hamas officials said on Tuesday that they had not yet responded because they were still waiting for Israel to hand over a map of its withdrawal from Gaza.
US President Joe Biden's administration and Donald Trump's officials have said the deal must be stopped immediately, which has devastated Gaza, killed tens of thousands of civilians and fueled conflict in the region.
Biden and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi spoke about progress in the talks on Tuesday.
In addition, Israeli and Hamas officials said the talks had reached their final stages and that they hoped this round of talks would lead to an agreement.
