With the end of 2024, Johor has managed to record an extraordinary achievement by achieving a state revenue of RM2.1 billion, exceeding the RM1.9 billion target set.
Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Haz Ghazi expressed gratitude for the joint efforts of all parties who have worked hard to achieve this achievement, emphasizing that it is a great success for the state.
Speaking at a press conference after attending the Johor Economic Transformation Program (JEP) Strategic Workshop, Onn Haz emphasized that the state government will continue to strive to increase the state's revenue, by ensuring that the benefits reach the people of Johor.
Moving forward, Onn Haz is optimistic that Johor can generate between RM2.3 billion to RM2.5 billion by the end of 2025.
In an effort to continue to boost the state's economy, he also discussed the promising collaboration with Qatar Airways for a maintenance facility at Senai International Airport, as part of a grand plan to develop Johor's logistics sector.
