Start the new year debt-free!
The Road Transport Department (JPJ) is now offering a golden opportunity to settle your summons at a fixed rate of only RM150 for six months, starting January 3.
Transport Minister Anthony Loke explained that this offer involves summons for the Automated Safety Awareness System (AwAS – Summons 53A), Notice of Investigation (114) and Notice of Post-it Summons / JPJ (P) 23 (115).
Payment for these summonses can be made easily via JPJ counters, kiosks, the MyJPJ application, or public portals except MyEG or Pos Malaysia.
The reduction in the rate from RM300 to RM150 is aimed at helping the public settle more than two million outstanding summonses.
However, those who fail to settle the summons will face the risk of being restricted from renewing their driving licences or vehicle road tax.
Interestingly, the demerit point system will also be temporarily suspended until June 30 to give JPJ time to reassess its implementation method.
From RM300 now only RM150, cheaper, easier, without having to worry about the risk of license renewal restrictions!
