The UK government recently announced a monumental £4 billion (RM24 billion) investment through YTL, which is expected to transform the UK’s economic landscape over the next five years.

This major project will focus on the development of Brabazon in Bristol, an iconic area that will be a major catalyst for growth and jobs across the country.

The project will not only include the construction of 6,500 homes and three new schools, but will also create over 30,000 jobs for UK citizens.

The announcement of this investment was made during the official visit of Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to London on 15 January, accompanied by senior UK government officials.

According to Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds, this investment is not just a physical renewal, but also a major step in strengthening the trade relationship between Malaysia and the UK.

The UK, which is now increasingly opening its doors to global opportunities, with the CPTPP free trade agreement with Malaysia, promises a brighter and mutually beneficial future for both countries.
