US Consumer Confidence Data (11.00 AM) – Investors will assess the level of consumer confidence in America for February through a survey of households that provides a picture of spending and economic activity.
WEDNESDAY (February 26, 2025)
Australian Inflation Data (8.30 AM) – After the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) cut interest rates at its meeting last week, the market will examine the latest indications in consumer price index data. The latest figure for January is expected to increase slightly from the previous month.
THURSDAY (February 27, 2025)
US GDP Data (9.30 PM) – The second reading for US economic growth for the last quarter of 2024 will be published this week. The market expects the figure to remain at 2.3%, as the initial reading was published last month.
FRIDAY (February 28, 2025)
German Inflation Data (European Session) – The first version of the German inflation reading to be released is expected to be better at 0.4% for February compared to the previous reading of -0.2%.
Canadian GDP Data (9.30 PM) – Compared to the contraction in the previous month’s reading, Canadian monthly economic growth in December is expected to recover to increase by an expected 0.3%.
US PCE Price Index Data (9.30 PM) – The Federal Reserve will also be watching this important indicator of inflation in setting their monetary policy. The latest figure is expected to increase slightly following the US inflation report last week.
