Artificial intelligence pioneer Elon Musk has launched an updated version of his Grok-3 chatbot, claiming it is the smartest AI on Earth.

In a statement, the chatbot aced math, science and coding benchmarks.

Grok-3 beat Alphabet Inc's Google Gemini, DeepSeek's V3 model, Claude Anthropic and OpenAI's GPT-4o. It had more than 10x the computational and solving power during its tests in early January.

Musk added that they will be improving their model every day literally within 24 hours.

The company is introducing a new smart search engine with Grok-3 called DeepSearch.

DeepSearch is a chatbot that describes the process of understanding a query and how it plans its response.

Previously, Grok-3 was launched to Premium+ subscribers on social media X called SuperGrok for the bot's mobile app and website Grok.com.

The billionaire previously filed two lawsuits against OpenAI for allegedly deviating from its founding principles and offered to buy the OpenAI arm for $97.4 billion (RM432.4 billion) in a bid that was rejected last week.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman classified the bid as a tactic by Elon Musk to slow down the company's progress.

Musk was involved in founding OpenAI but has been critical of the company since leaving the board in 2018.
