USAID is gone, Medicaid is dying, but Tesla gets a contract for a ghost car?”
Elon Musk is now officially a ‘special officer’ in the Trump administration, and despite his ‘humble’ appearance in the eyes of the media, the money is still pouring in.
While the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is busy ‘saving’ the people’s money by cutting all budgets, Tesla suddenly got a windfall: a $400 million contract from the State Department for the ‘Armored Tesla’, a vehicle that doesn’t even exist yet.
Could this car be so sophisticated that it’s not even visible in the real world?
More interestingly, SpaceX also managed to receive $38.5 million in funding from NASA.
Yes, Musk’s company is getting fatter with government money, while the budget for the people is being cut mercilessly.
USAID needs to be shut down after a $900 million education contract was canceled while Medicaid is dying, waiting for the time to ask for donations later.
Yet, as usual, Musk remains calm whenever the budget is ‘cut,’ claiming that each contract is “the best value for taxpayers.”
So, is this a revolution in government efficiency or just a premium version of ‘reverse Robin Hood’ – take from the people, give to the companies themselves?
