Gateway Development Alliance Sdn Bhd (GDA) now owns 96.74% of MAHB, totaling 1.61 billion shares, after Khazanah Nasional transferred all of its ownership in MAHB.
The transfer to GDA, which involved 32.99% of shares worth 550.46 million, was made through its subsidiary Pantai Panorama Sdn Bhd.
GDA’s 96.74% control is a combination of Khazanah holding a 40% stake in GDA, followed by the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) at 30%.
While the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) and Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) each hold 30%.
The takeover bid, which began in March 2024, offered RM11 per share, valuing MAHB at RM18.4 billion.
The offer became official when GDA exceeded the required ownership level.
Investors have until February 12 to decide whether they want to sell their shares.
MAHB shares will cease trading on February 20, after which the company will be delisted from the stock exchange.
