Malaysian Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, said in a statement that Malaysia and Bahrain are committed to strengthening the economies of both countries, including in cryptocurrency and the Sandbox platform.
The cooperation between Malaysia and Bahrain in cryptocurrency & sandbox marks an important step in strengthening the economic relations between the two countries, especially in the digital finance sector.
The discussion was held during his meeting with Bahrain's Minister of Finance and Economy, Shaikh Salman Bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.
In addition, they also discussed tourism cooperation, Kuala Lumpur - Manama relations and the manufacturing sector.
According to Anwar Ibrahim, Bahrain also expressed its commitment to making the ASEAN - Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit and the ASEAN-GCC + China Summit a success, where the Crown Prince who is also Prime Minister, Sheikh Salman Hamad al-Khalifa, will attend.
Anwar is currently on an official visit to Bahrain at the invitation of the Crown Prince of Bahrain.
