Michael Saylor’s MicroStrategy has announced another Bitcoin purchase, bringing the company’s total BTC holdings to 478,740. This is the company’s first Bitcoin purchase since it rebranded to Strategy, a move that further solidifies its BTC strategy.
In a press release, MicroStrategy, now known as Strategy, announced that it had acquired 7,633 BTC worth $742 million, at an average price of $97,255 per Bitcoin. The company also noted that it has achieved a 4.1% year-to-date (YTD) BTC return.
The Bitcoin software and treasury company also revealed that its total BTC holdings now stand at 478,740 BTC, which were acquired for a total value of $31.1 billion at an average price of $65,033 per Bitcoin. This latest acquisition is the first since it rebranded to ‘Strategy.’
As part of the rebrand, the company also introduced a new logo featuring the Bitcoin symbol, symbolizing their BTC strategy and their unique position as a Bitcoin Treasury company.
Bitcoin is currently trading at $97,608 and Ethereum is trading at $2651.
