Attacked by high tariffs and economic pressure from the United States (US), China not only did not fall but also became stronger as the champion of global trade!
China continues to strengthen its status as a world trading giant, with total imports and exports exceeding 43 trillion yuan ($6 trillion) in 2023, according to the General Administration of Customs (GAC).
To defend this position, China has acted to cut tariffs by returning 282.9 billion yuan in taxes and expanding trade access that allows 111 new agricultural products from 62 countries.
Not only that, China has also opened 14 new ports and built seven bonded logistics centers to improve trade efficiency.
