Here are some of the important economic data that will be the focus of the market throughout this week.


MONDAY (March 3, 2025)

US Manufacturing PMI ISM Survey (11.00 PM) – The survey figure for the manufacturing sector in America is predicted to remain stable above the 50 point level. A significant decline in the figure could invite a decline in the US dollar trading value in the market at the beginning of the week.


WEDNESDAY (March 5, 2025)

Australian GDP (8.30 AM) – Australia's economic growth for the last quarter of 2024 is expected to be better to record a slight increase to 0.5% compared to 0.3% previously.


ADP Employment Data (9.15 PM) – Providing an early indication of the report at the end of the week, investors will first examine the private employment report in America for February. The forecast figure is slow after the increase in the previous month.


US Services PMI ISM Survey (11.00 PM) – The outlook for the non-manufacturing sector in the US is also expected to be strong with figures expected to increase for February.


THURSDAY (March 6, 2025)

ECB Policy Meeting (9.15 PM) – The European Central Bank is set to continue its easing policy with the latest 25 basis point interest rate cut expected. Interest rates are set to fall to 2.65% from 2.90% previously.


FRIDAY (March 7, 2025)

Canada Employment Data (9.30 PM) – Investors are wary of the expected gloomy report for Canadian jobs for February. Job growth is expected to slow to around 17,800 compared to 76,000 recorded the previous month while the unemployment rate is forecast to rise back to 6.7% from a decrease of 6.6%.


US NFP Employment Data (9.30 PM) – The main focus this week, the US jobs report for February will be scrutinized by the market. Several components including job growth, average wages and the unemployment rate will be given attention by the Federal Reserve for assessment before setting monetary policy.
