From incentives canceled to being kicked out of car shows, Tesla’s EV brand is now something of an unwanted brand in North America.
In British Columbia, the provincial government has officially pulled Tesla from its EV charging incentive program.
Premier David Eby has publicly stated that the decision only affects Tesla and is being made because of Elon Musk.
BC residents who want to claim subsidies will now have to choose another brand or pay the full cost.
Toronto has taken a more drastic step by removing Tesla from its taxi and ride-share subsidy scheme, all because of Musk’s close ties to Trump.
Worst of all, Tesla was also kicked out of the Vancouver Auto Show on “safety” grounds.
Organizers claim the decision was made after a series of “Tesla Takedown” protests erupted in Ottawa and Vancouver, where people expressed anger at the company and Trump’s threat to take over Canada.
Is this the beginning of Tesla’s downfall? Or will its owners continue to hold on despite the brand’s growing ostracism?
