Following strong operating income and a gain on the sale of its aged care business in Australia, KPJ Healthcare Bhd recorded a net profit of RM407.2 million, a jump of 50.6%.
The company also experienced a 15% increase in revenue, reaching RM3.92 billion compared to RM3.24 billion in 2023, driven by an increase in patient admissions and increased hospital capacity.
In the last three months of 2024, KPJ Healthcare generated revenue of RM1.05 billion, marking a 15% increase from the same period in 2023.
This growth was supported by a higher number of patients seeking medical services at its hospitals.
KPJ Healthcare Bhd plans to grow further this year by improving its services through new technology, collaborations with other companies and opening more healthcare centres.
It also wants to attract more international patients while ensuring its finances are strong.
