Penang gives early ‘raya money’!
Starting March 19, 2025, a total of 7,066 state civil servants will receive half a month’s salary or a minimum of RM1,000 as Hari Raya Aidilfitri assistance.
Not to be outdone, the assistance will also be given to religious school teachers and private Chinese schools in the amount of RM300 each.
Chief Minister, Chow Kon Yeow said, this assistance is a sign of appreciation for their commitment in realizing the Penang Vision 2030 – a major effort to drive economic growth and improve the quality of life of the people.
With a total allocation of RM7.81 million, this fund will also reach PBT staff, statutory bodies, and state subsidiaries.
