On April 21, DHL Express will suspend international shipping operations worth over $800 to US customers.
The suspension is due to changes in US customs regulations that have slowed the clearance process for shipments.
DHL also blamed new US customs laws that came into effect on April 5th, lowering the official processing limit from $2,500 to $8,000.
DHL will not stop distribution operations but will experience delays in the transfer of goods.
In addition, DHL will continue to process shipments from Hong Kong to the US in accordance with customs policies and help customers adjust to the changes from May 2nd.
This comes after Hong Kong Post suspended its delivery services to the US, after the US allegedly revoked tariff-free trade provisions from Hong Kong and China.
