Government Violates Court Order? Former KLCC Tower Operator Files Legal Action!

thecekodok

KL Tower was suddenly closed at 12.30am on April 17 and now its former operator, MKLSB, wants the government to be dragged to court!

This action is described as a ‘forced seizure’ and further aggravates the situation, occurring while the RM1 billion tower concession case is still under trial.

MKLSB’s lawyers confirmed that they have filed committal proceedings against the Minister of Communications and the Federal Land Commissioner, claiming that the government has disobeyed the court order and forcibly handed over the tower to the new operator, LSH Service Master, a subsidiary of Lim Seong Hai Capital.

MKLSB also revealed that they have been ordered out twice, although the RM1 billion compensation claim against the government and LSH is still ongoing.

The first closure in the history of KL Tower and ‘coincidentally’, just a few days after the Hari Raya Open House attended by Tun Mahathir.

MKLSB's lawyers condemned the actions of the authorities, describing them as "thugs", while the government insisted that MKLSB's operations after March 31 were illegal.

This case may be a small one, but when the government itself is said to have violated court process, it is no longer a trivial issue.

The people are watching and the question is, who is the law for?
