According to Juwai IQI sources, influential people in China are now less interested in buying land in the United States (US) and are starting to turn their attention to Malaysia and other Southeast Asian countries.
This situation is due to the Chinese population wanting to focus on a harmonious lifestyle involving quality education factors and attractive vacation spots.
The issue is not about migration according to buyers, with the US's position dropping from first to seventh place on the list of house prices exceeding US$5 million (RM 22 million).
Based on the latest statistics for 2024, data shows that 94 percent of Chinese buyers are looking for a place to live in Malaysia as a location for their family's main needs, 6.5 percent of individuals are buying fixed assets solely for the sake of a form of investment.
Meanwhile, 16 percent choose to find a place to live in Malaysia because of its location near the best educational centers.
In 2024, Malaysia made history when it was listed as the fourth best migration destination, ahead of Britain, the US, Japan, South Korea, Spain and Singapore after not being in the top 10 in 2023.
